Careful, you might be happy!

A MESSAGE sent to this site warned all readers to be alert for symptoms of inner hope, peace and joy that can occur.

Symptoms include:
A TENDENCY to think and act spontaneously rather than on fears based on past experiences.

AN UNMISTAKABLE ability to enjoy the moment.

A LOSS of interest in judging others.

A LOSS of the ability to worry. (Very serious)

FREQUENT, overwhelming episodes of gratitude and peace.

CONTENTED feelings of connection with others.

AN INCREASING tendency to let things happen rather than make them happen.

AN INCREASED susceptibility to the love extended by others as well as the uncontrollable urge to extend it.

BELIEF in the Christmas angels’ message that we should be unafraid, whatever happens.

There is no antidote.

  1. My goodness Bryan,
I must say I almost feel a little bit guilty, in sharing the greater part of the happiness that is described in your column, despite not being a Christian. And for that matter, I’ve known not a few similar heathens/pagans who bear a similar blessing. And I have known quite a number of Christians who did not appear to be particularly happy. Those same ‘angels’ bear for me a very considerable message of joy, even though it may not be quite so literal in content as suggested in the Gospel account.

Just maybe – just maybe, it is not REALLY quite so essential for one to be exclusively a Christian in regard to this happiness??? Or is that just going too far??? (Dont all rush to enlighten me!)

    • Did the message imply that this applied exclusively to Christians? It does make mention of Christmas angels, of course. If it’s only meant for Christians I’m sure many like myself would agree with you, Brian.

Again, if it’s meant exclusively for Christians, some might be in danger of taking heed and stop being so serious and judgemental.
