Elvis at 80

It’s easy to forget that he was just 42 when he died in 1977. He seemed a generation older.

Elvis’ 80th this week isn’t going unremarked, of course, and is being celebrated in 21st-century style.

All week long Elvis Presley’s Graceland is celebrating what would have been the King’s milestone birthday.

When asked in 1977 what he would do now that Elvis was dead, his manager Colonel Parker allegedly replied: “Why, I’ll just go right on managing him!”. In Parker’s mind, neither Elvis’ name, image, likeness and sound nor his economic value died with him.
And so it seems.

The public relations firm Sachs Media Group this week released an image created by the photo company Phojoe that imagines what Elvis might have looked at age 80.

Elvis apparently wore a cross, the Hebrew letter chai, and a star of David around his neck

“I don’t want to miss out on heaven due to a technicality,” he said

  1. Everybody has a double in their life. A family friend didn’t look like Elvis as a young man but as the old man in the picture, spitting image.

Who has everyone been told they look like, just out of curiosity and if Bryan doesn’t mind.
