There are now atheists “churches”. So why not atheist songs for kids??

      • How do I (pheromone react to) love thee? Let me (scientifically measure) count the ways…
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My (unscientifically based imagination) soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of Being and ideal Grace.
I love thee to the level of everyday’s
Most quiet need, by sun and candle-light.
I love thee freely, as men strive for Right (at least I need you in a biological sense to keep the species going).
I love thee purely (according to my own interpretation), as they turn from Praise.
I love thee with the passion put to use
In my old griefs, and with my childhood’s faith.
I love thee with a love I seemed to lose
With my lost saints – I love thee with the breath,
Smiles, tears, of all my life! – and, if God choose (if the Spaghetti Monster of life flukes it)
I shall but love thee better after death (not likely).

        Atheism is so poetic.

      • @ Kathleen: “Atheism is so poetic.”

If you’d like some atheist poetry try reading Douglas Adams (his description of an electric monk and the sentient puddle are gold). When you’re done with that, Google Tim Minchins “Storm”.

  1. As much as I was face palming and cringing at the poor viewpoints he was utilizing, I give credit for his execution of the jokes in playing to a crowd that might actually share such a view! I only hope he was doing it ironically!
