Given Uganda’s homophobia, why does it lead the way in Googling gay porn?

THE anti-homosexuality bill in Uganda was conceived back in 2009 and was introduced with the aim of ridding Uganda of homosexuality. T begin with, the bill contained the death penalty.

An international outcry forced the Ugandans to drop that section of the bill, but the form in which it passed through the legislature just before Christmas is dreadful enough, with homosexuality now leading to life imprisonment and a prison sentence for those who do not report gay people to the authorities within 24 hours.

Uganda is set to become the anti-gay capital of the world.

Last year, Google published statistics about the places in the world where their search engine was most used to find gay porn sites. The results were extraordinary. According to its figures, Uganda is third on the list of counties where “man fucking man” is most searched for, behind Kenya and Pakistan, both of which are countries where homosexuality is illegal. These figures also demonstrate a high degree of correlation between places of conservative religious practice and internet searches for gay porn.

Is there a connection, then, between homophobia and suppressed homosexuality?

  1. Is every desire that man has, meant to be?

What other things do people Google? General porn is another. Does that mean that people need that type of sex? Are they frustrated unless they have ‘porn-like’ sex? Does that equate to love? What about the tremendous amount of child porn on the internet?

It’s just another example of the (created!) human penchant ~ irresistible attraction! ~ for the ‘forbidden’.

God started the ball rolling when ~ having deliberately created an Eve unable to resist temptation ~ he tempted her.

….and all the dimwits ever since have blamed Eve for the fall of mankind.

Still….a handy excuse for the infliction – and addiction to ~ of lavish punishments and fervid guilt-trips for the hordes of sado-masochists.

Isn’t it significant that homo sapiens ~ the only species created in the image of god ~ is also the only species that indulges in the pleasure of the perversion?
      ….among many others!

      • Not very sophisticated, hey Bubba? :- “What is ‘porn-like’ sex and how does it differ from regular ol sex ?”

You don’t have to pretend (or pretend you’re pretending! 😉 ) that you’re just doing your ‘duty’.
And you’re allowed to leave the lights on,
        ….and emit ‘impure’ vocalisations!

…….gotta go: it’s suddenly become very warm in here 🙂

      • ….speaking of which: apparently there are overlaps between “regular ol’ ” and ‘irregular not-so-ol’ ‘ principles and practices.
eg. What’s one to make of something like this:-

        Condition: Used
Crucifix- Stainless Steel , 7ft tall. Each side end has a loop for securing rope, chain etc. Pick up Williamstown.
Useful for Decoration, Theatrical performance, (Other) 😯

  2. Australia inherited the United Kingdom’s sodomy laws on colonisation in 1788. These were retained in the criminal codes passed by the various colonial parliaments during the 19th century, and by the state parliaments after Federation.

South Australia repealed the state’s sodomy law in 1975, and other states and territories repealed their laws between 1976 and 1990. The exceptions were Tasmania and Queensland. Tasmania did so in 1997. Queensland is still working on various aspects.

    Are we hypocrites?

And did those lagging States seek more pornography?

    • One suspects that the porno industry in places like QLD and TAS (for example) is frowned upon because it competes with the other perverted institutions ~ like government and church ~ on a dollar-basis.
IF pornography, government or ‘church’ were free to use and generated no profit they’d all wither away and die inside two generations.
