A US study indicated that, yes, celebrities are more self-obsessed than the rest of us, and not just because they live in a bubble of publicists, agents and sycophants.
The study, published in the Journal of Research and Personality, found people with narcissistic tendencies seek out jobs in show business. And they are not happy until they find such employment.
It found reality TV stars were the biggest narcissists of all.
While in the general population men are more likely than women to be self-adoring, the study found that, among celebrities, females were more narcissistic than their male counterparts.
Popster Madonna proved that point when she once said: “Listen, everyone is entitled to my opinion.’’ She also described herself as “tough, ambitious, and I know exactly what I want. If that makes me a bitch, okay.’’
Healthy narcissism? Not likely. Narcissistic people, according to sociologists, generally have low self-esteem and are compensating for it,
Janis Joplin, describing her life as a pop idol, once said: “It can be awful sometimes. You have no idea how hard it is to go out on stage and make love to 20,000 people and then go home and have to sleep alone.’’

Today, though, everyone seems to think they’re “special” or a “celebrity” (or they’re angry because they’re not one). I see narcissistic behaviour all around me every day. I believe this is because people see so much celebrity reporting in the media that they start to believe that’s a normal way to behave. I say this as a former entertainment industry reporter and gossip columnist, thus admit I helped cause the problem.

It almost seems as though you are justifying their behaviour and taking this Scripture out of context.

“Verse 11 is not a command, but rather a statement of fact and a warning. Character tends to become fixed and unchangeable, determined by a lifetime of habitual action. The arrival of the end will prevent any change of destiny.
Those who hear the truth but continue to do wrong will by that hardened response fix their eternal destiny in hell. Conversely, those who continue to practice righteousness and keep himself holy give evidence of genuine saving faith.
When Christ returns, the deliberate choice of each person will have fixed his eternal fate.

Meh in general people who sell phones know a lot about phones, people who sell computers know a lot about computers. Is it really any surprise that people who sell themselves know a lot about themselves ?
